What is a Kringle

A kringle is a Danish pastry crafted from laminated dough, featuring 36 layers of dough and butter that create a delightfully flaky texture. Traditionally shaped like a pretzel and filled with a variety of delicious ingredients, our kringles are made with a "cheater pretzel" technique to avoid overlapping dough.

Uncle Mike's achieved top honors at the North American Kringle Competition in September 2014 with our Sea Salt Caramel Pecan Kringle. We also secured 2nd and 3rd places in the 2014 Bakers Best Kringle Competition with our Turtle Kringle and Caramel Apple Kringle, respectively. In 2015, we won first place with our Big Hawaiian Kringle. Our Sea Salt Caramel Pecan was named Best Kringle in Wisconsin in 2018 and received the People’s Choice award, along with being recognized as the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin!

You can find our kringles at our four locations in the Green Bay and Appleton area—De Pere, Suamico, East Green Bay, and Appleton—or order them online. At our retail stores, a whole kringle is priced at $22.40, and a half is $12.85. For shipping, a kringle costs $37.75, which includes the kringle and 2-day air shipping.
