What is a Kringle
A kringle is a classic Danish pastry made from layers of laminated dough and butter, resulting in a rich, flaky texture. Traditionally shaped like a pretzel and filled with a variety of sweet and savory fillings, our kringles are crafted using a "cheater pretzel" method, which avoids overlapping layers of dough for a smoother, even finish.
Uncle Mike's has earned top honors in several prestigious competitions. In September 2014, our Sea Salt Caramel Pecan Kringle claimed the coveted first place at the North American Kringle Competition. Additionally, we took 2nd and 3rd place at the 2014 Bakers Best Kringle Competition with our Turtle and Caramel Apple Kringles, respectively. In 2015, we clinched first place with our Big Hawaiian Kringle. Our Sea Salt Caramel Pecan Kringle was also named Best Kringle in Wisconsin in 2018, earning the People’s Choice award and being recognized as the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin.
You can enjoy our award-winning kringles at our four locations in the Green Bay and Appleton area—De Pere, Suamico, East Green Bay, and Appleton—or conveniently order online. A whole kringle is priced at $22.95, with a half kringle available for $13.25. For shipping, a kringle is $38.95, which includes 2-day air delivery. We also have limited retail outlets across Wisconsin that sell our kringle.
