My friends absolutely loved the bakery including the cringle and I was grateful that the staff could include some door County coffee. It was sent to an office environment and really made their day. We received the bread as promised. There was so much Holiday food and treats in front of us that we decided to save the bread for the Saturday after Christmas.
The plan was to make French toast from it. When we went to the cupboard on Saturday morning . . . MOLD, white and green mold everywhere under the clear cellophane wrapping. Uuugh. Bacon and eggs again.
Having grown up in Wisconsin, I assumed that it was packaged in a humid moist atmosphere and too long in the package created the mold.
The Kringle were outstanding! Just as good as my memory and were the best treats during the last two Green Bay Packer wins over the Holidays. THE BEST on this planet.
