On Monday, September 22, 2025, something special happened—Uncle Mike’s Kringle Shoppe officially opened its doors in Buchanan!
For years, we’ve been sharing our award-winning Kringle throughout Northeast Wisconsin and shipping it across the country. But we had always wanted to create a shop built around the product we’re best known for—a place where Wisconsin Kringle could truly be the star of the show.
That idea became a reality when we opened our first Kringle-focused shop in Buchanan.
A Place Built Around Kringle
Kringle is at the heart of the Buchanan shop. You'll find a variety of our Kringle flavors, including favorites like Sea Salt Caramel Pecan and Door County Cherry, along with seasonal flavors throughout the year.
But Kringle isn't the only reason to stop in.
The Kringle Shoppe also features a coffee bar, ice cream, our NYT Cookies, cronuts, croissants, muffins and other bakery favorites. We also carry a selection of frozen Uncle Mike's goodies to take home, including breads, cakes and ice cream pints, along with Uncle Mike's merchandise.
And if you're not in a hurry, there's seating where you can enjoy a Kringle, pastry, coffee or ice cream right at the shop.
Why a Kringle Shoppe?
Kringle has become a huge part of the Uncle Mike’s story.
We began making Kringle in 2014, eventually returning it to the traditional Danish pretzel shape. Over the years, our Kringle has earned awards—including being named the Best Kringle in North America—and has become one of the products people most associate with Uncle Mike's.
Opening a shop centered around Kringle felt like a natural next chapter.
Rather than simply opening another traditional Uncle Mike's Bake Shoppe, Buchanan gave us an opportunity to try something different: a smaller shop where Kringle takes center stage alongside coffee, ice cream and a selection of our favorite bakery items.
Why Buchanan?
We wanted the first Kringle Shoppe to feel like a neighborhood shop—a place where you could stop for coffee and a pastry, bring the family for ice cream or pick up a Kringle to bring home.
Buchanan gave us the opportunity to create exactly that.
We're grateful for the support we've received from the community since opening our doors, and we're excited to continue growing the Kringle Shoppe and introducing even more people to Wisconsin's official state pastry.
